HOW IT ALL STARTED

As a stay at home mum I use to collect chocolate recipes and cook chocolate cakes for my friends to earn some extra much needed money.
I decided after collecting over 100 recipes to organize them into one word document as I often gave them to my friends and was tired of re-writing them every time. Two of my friends suggested that I make it into a book while we were drinking coffee and eating my chocolate fudge pudding :)

After re-writing my 100 chocolate recipes and adding a touch of my own flavor, I converted it into a pdf document and sent it to a few of my friends. They told me that I should sell it online as it could make me some extra money; (I wasn't convinced). Coincidently at that time a local design studio was selling chocolate bars online and said they would be willing to sell me their existing site as they needed to focus on other business. I thought to myself; it's worth a try. So I bought the company :)
Based on the existing site and not wanting to make it unaffordable, I decided to start by offering the book for only $5 (now $9.95 due to commissions restructure). I told my friends that I would give them $1 for every person they referred, $1 for every person the people they referred, $1 for every person they referred and $1 (now $2, $1, $1 and $2) for every person they referred.
To my amazement with a profit of only $1 after paying referral commissions; I made $2000 within the first 2 months. I was officially convinced that you can make money online in a surprisingly simple way.
What was even more surprising was just how fast things started to take off after that; and how much money others were making just by telling their friends about my little 100 chocolate recipes book program.
